An Iranian youth has set a Yalda Night table under the blue waters of the Hormoz Island in Persian Gulf.

Mohammad Vafadarn Tabrizi, who managed and performed the idea, said that his aim was to make other nations familiar with the Iranian-Islamic culture.

He also added that he wanted to remind the world of the three Iranian islands of the Persian Gulf again.

The 400kg construction is six meters in diameter and is made with nature-friendly materials during 25 days.

Vafadarn Tabrizi also set the traditional Persian New Year Haft Sin table under the waters of Kish Island in 2005.

Yalda Night or Shab-e Chelleh is one of the most celebrated traditional events in Iran which marks the night of the Northern Hemisphere's winter solstice.

At this ancient Persian cultural festivity, people set and design tables and put a wide variety of fruits, cookies, sweets and nuts.

This traditional Persian winter celebration is commemorated on December 20 or 21 each year.
